OpenMV H7 Broken led and hello world

My OpenMV H7 had a happy blue led flashing from a previous firmware update. Then I updated OpenMV IDE, flashed to 4.6.2 and now the LED stays off. Tried the hello world program but that didnt work.

In the IDE I can run a script, print to the terminal, and it also streams video. But no LED working. Is that a bug?

Can I downgrade the firmware to test if it is related to the update? How?

Never mind. After unplugging the camera for a minute everything works as expected. Strange.

… and now I can’t light up the LED anymore. This is so weird.

Could you try pressing on the LED while the blinky script is running? I saw this issue before once with an H7 or H7+, the LED had bad solder joints.

I have a generic H7 and it definitely works as expected with the latest firmware and a fresh disk.

Yes! Pressing the LED makes it flicker.

Yep, bad solder joint. If you have a soldering iron you could try to fix it, just need to touch the LED pins.

That worked! Thanks a lot!
