We have a stepper motor system that we want to control using OpenMV. The following is the link to our stepper motor driver:

We connected this to one stepper motor as well as step, direction and ground to the GPIO’s on OpenMV. When we apply 24V to the driver to power the stepper motor, OpenMV disconnects from our computer within a few seconds. Do we need some isolation between the OpenMV board and the driver?

We measured 3- 9 mA of current going from the driver to the OpenMV board.

Hi, the product link doesn’t go to anything.

Actually we figured out that our USB connection was becoming loose as the stepper motor was moving and vibrating. We secured it and now the connection is stable.
