Hi, I’m really excited for the OpenMV AE3 camera, and I already backed the Kickstarter. Can’t wait to try it. However, when I looked at the pinout at OpenMV AE3 I couldn’t find any way to power that board. There are pins labeled 3.3V and 1.8V, but they seem to be output only. There is no VIN, VBUS, RAW or anything like that.

Could you elaborate a little bit about how this board can be powered? Is it USB only? Can we somehow connect a battery to it? How would we do that, and what additional circuitry would be required to avoid back-powering when the USB is connected? Can we somehow also tap into the unregulated USB power to power the battery recharging circuit?

PS. I’m not sure this is the best place to ask this question, please move it to the right place if it’s not.

The AE3 can be powered through USB, QWIIC or the B2B connector on the back, and the 3.3v is input/output.

Here is fine, but please comment on the KS if you have anymore questions so other people can see them.
