Installer for 4.0.12 providing outdated version for Linux?

I’m trying to install the v4.0.12 IDE on an Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS (on a virtual machine). The installer runs through successfully and the IDE starts, but it immediately asks to be updated to “4.0.1”. Checking “About OpenMV IDE” tells me the version is apparently 2.9.7.

I tried both the .run (using the Download link and through github) and the .tar.gz installer.
Any idea how to get the latest version for Linux?

Thank you

Uh, do you have an old version of the IDE installed that you didn’t uninstall?

The new version defiantly doesn’t do this…

It sounds like the installer runs the old version you have on your PC that didn’t get removed.

Yep, that was it.
Still had an old version in the /home directory.
