Hello, I am currently using the ov5640 autofocus fpc module with the rt1062, I was wondering if there was a way I could change the object/area at which the camera is focusing on. The object i am focusing on is currently not in the center of the camera feed, and the camera does not seem to be focusing on it.
Hi, auto-focus for the RT1062 with the OV5640 FPC module doesn’t work at the moment. It’s because of some bug with our I2C logic for the particular transaction to load the firmware for the module. The same camera driver works correctly on the H7 Plus.
I am traveling for the next 3 weeks, and I will not necessarily have time to resolve this during my trip.
Is it possible to change the focal distance by code for the h7 plus then?
Yes, but you can just trigger the module to auto focus, you can’t set an exact focus. The OV5640 module has an MCU onboard that will determine the best focus automatically.
