I am walking into the unknown so hopefully I make sense and you guys can help me and give me some suggestions.
I am currently using the OpenMV camera with the standard lens. I want to reduce the FOV to focus onto a smaller region of interest and have more pixels in this region. However I am a little limited in the camera placement so looking for something that I can plug into my current setup or replace the current lens.
I have tried the telephoto and the super telephoto lens but the image is out of focus on the setup. And adjusting the lcensdidnt focus it. Is there anything else I can try to use the lens and get the image in focus?
If you are trying to focus on a very close object you need microscope like optics. This is very expensive… it’s possible to do though. I can’t say what to buy. You’ll need to find an M12 compatible microscope lens.
If you are trying to focus close you might want to try putting an extension tube between the lenses you already have and the lens mount - something like this
The further away the lens in from the sensor the closer it will focus. Should be cheaper than buying a microscope lens.
