Hi
I bought an AE3 and received it today; I let everything update.
Everything worked fine for five minutes.
Then everything died; not even the built-in USB drive showed up in the file manager.
The LED flashes for a while, but nothing happens.
Suddenly, everything started working again, but it only lasted three minutes this time.
I tried it on another computer without success.
My old RT1062 works.
What to do?
The USB port is there

Hmmm, this is something I probably should live debug with you. Seems like driver problems or weird Windows behavior.
Sent you PM with my calendar link.
Live debug found the main.py script needed to be erased via Tools → Erase onboard Flash Drive. Once that was done the camera was okay again.
Yes it works for some time, I have erased the flash drive about 10 times now
the usb port and the drive don’t show up
I disconnect and connect and if it show up I erase the drive and replace the files
it works a while then it hapens again!
Hi Ulf,
We have a lot of other customers using the system without error, but, you seem to be running into an issue here. What kind of scripts are you running onboard the system?
Reading your answer I went over to the PC
connected the AE3
The drive D: started and the contet showed
Main.py showed and I started it
The entire script:
import csi
import time
import ml
from machine import UART
uart = UART(1, 9600)
csi0 = csi.CSI()
csi0.reset()
csi0.pixformat(csi.RGB565)
csi0.framesize(csi.QVGA)
csi0.framerate(240)
csi0.snapshot(time=2000)
model = ml.Model("trained.tflite")
print(model)
labels = ["NOT", "ROUND", "STOP", "TURN"]
clock = time.clock()
area = 0
while True:
clock.tick()
img = csi0.snapshot()
scores = model.predict([img])[0].flatten().tolist()
max_score = max(scores)
max_index = scores.index(max_score)
max_score = round(max_score, 2)
payload = f"{labels[max_index]}, {max_score}"
print(payload)
# uart.write(payload.encode('utf-8'))
The terminal:

Drive D: disapear and the IDE is as follow
Okay, I might have an idea why… question, via PM, you should have moved your model to ROMFS? Why are you still running it from the D drive?
Also, are you editing the main.py file from the IDE while it’s on the D drive?
I have been working TOF and it works ok now
I wanted to combine the scripts to one.
I am stil working on d: since if I work outside d: the intelicence don’t work.
Tryed it, it’s working now!!!
maby it’s a way avoid problem.
The D: drive ought to be stable enough to work on.
Yeah, I think the issue is that you are editing the script on the camera drive directly. The IDE will save a backup file each time you make any edit on the drive. This generally causes a lot of problems, as the disk is only 4MB and the IDE fills up the disk with temp files.
You should be able to edit the main.py on your desktop and then do Tools->Save Script to OpenMV Cam to copy it to the camera drive. As for the auto-complete… that should definitely work, without having to edit main.py on the camera directly. However, I will see if I can reproduce your issue.
Thanks
I will try the Tools->Save script, instead of dragging the file to D:
