I had my openmv board connected to my robot running a FOMO AI model to detect objects and i also needed it to detect colors using find_blobs function. So that is a pretty heavy task to run. After more than an hour of continously testing the robot, the OpenMV board unexpectedly powered off. It was powered through a powerbank and the pins where not shorted. Now my computer doesnt detect it anymore, the led stays shut when i power it and it gets ridicolously hot. I think the board got too hot from running uninterruptedly and something broke. Is there someway i can fix that? What should i test to pin down the problem?
Hi, no, what likely happened is that something was overvolted onboard, and the silicon structure was damaged inside, causing a permanent short circuit.
Generally, these issues aren’t fixable. But, if you provide a circuit diagram with voltage levels, I can help you determine what went wrong so you don’t break another camera.
