Can't Recover my OpenMV

Hi,

Trying to recover my Open MV H7. Tried few of the suggestions on the forum but non seems to work.

When I try to recover using the open MV IDE, the flash erase seems to be stuck on 0% and timesout, then later connection attempt is also failing.

Also tried to short the RST and BOOT pins. Not sure I’m doing it right → tried to short these while connecting to the PC and then disconnect and try to connect normally.

Any idea ?

Using IDE 4.5

Hi, can you try the latest IDE which now works with our new bootloader on windows?

Install the non-factory version.

There was an issue with the DFU drivers that I’ve resolved. It will now bootload correctly on windows.

This isn’t the final IDE release. But, getting close to having it ready.

Hi kwagyeman,

Installed 4.5.1 version, but now I can’t get the IDE to start. I’m getting this error code:

“Error reading <user_resources>/openmvide/firmware/settings.json: The system cannot find the path specified..”

Saw that you told some ubunto user to delete .config file, but didn’t found the windows equivalent . Tried removing the appdata\roaming folder, but that didn’t help.

Thx for your help…

Launch the IDE with -update_resources. This will cause it to flush previous config settings.

Thank you very much, I was able to open the app, but again I’m stuck at 0% deleting FAT and ROAMING files.

That message appears when connecting to the old bootloader. I just found and fixed a bug with that. Hopefully, the final release will be done this weekend.

Also tried to short the RST and BOOT pins. Not sure I’m doing it right → tried to short these while connecting to the PC and then disconnect and try to connect normally.

Do this to get past that issue.

Once I get the final release of the new IDE done everything should be smooth.
