OpenMV vs OpenCV for eye blink and gaze detection?

Would it be better to use OpenMV vs OpenCV with raspberry pi for eye blink and gaze detection?
I want to make a glasses with the camera attached. Since it has to be portable, battery will be used to power the device.
So 1+ for OpenMV since it uses less power.
But I’m afraid OpenMV is slower than OpenCV with raspberry pi? Performance is also pretty important considering how fast the eyes move. Any suggestions?

We can operate extremely fast at 400+ with the global shutter module attached to the H7.

This isn’t the case. It depends on the camera module and your algorithm. Yes, the Pi has more horse power but if it’s camera is too slow it won’t matter. It does help though on processing a higher res.

That said, our fastest algorithm for this is blob tracking. You’d run it on the pupil.
