Problems with the RT1062 and Genx320

Am I missing something or is the H7 plus genuinely that much more powerful than the RT1062? I have the RT1062 with the GenX320 and I’m not getting anywhere near the quality shown in this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moyc7CsibrY That demo is amazingly crisp and detailed. When I use the genx320 histogram grayscale mode 1 example I can see the surroundings, but its just not as clear. Is the difference in my board or something else? And when I use the genx320_event_mode_1.py example, I get these weird 5 bars that look like scan lines with no way to see the images. This device is amazing so far, just hoping for some advice on some of these issues.

Edit:

I am on firmware 4.8.1

Hi, I just tried my genx320 with the event camera with an RT1062 using the event mode and histogram mode.

For histogram mode, everything is working as expected. I am seeing some issues with event mode with the RT1062 with the latest firmware. It appears to be a regression for event mode. I will debug and fix. Double Check GENX320 on RT1062, H7 Plus, and N6. · Issue #3157 · openmv/openmv · GitHub

Regarding the image clarity, it’s possible that the sensor is not in focus. You may need to rotate the lens using a focus tool. This is provided with the latest versions of the sensors we sell. If you have access to a 3D printer, you can also create the focus tool. The designs are here: Free CAD Designs, Files & 3D Models | The GrabCAD Community Library
