Optical Flow Calibration

I’m using the OpenMV CAM H7 Plus, and I’m utilizing it as an optical flow sensor for my drone, and I found that there’s default scripts for the optical flow. The question is, how can I calibrate the differential_translation.py script for angled view of the camera? The cam will be mounted on the bottom of the drone and at certain maneuvers, the camera will be seeing an angled view not a vertical perspective of the ground. Thanks in advance.

Hi, the script doesn’t really work for this. The optical flow offered by the H7 via our scripts is a toy example. The camera must be pointed straight down. If you want to handle it being mounted at an angle, please see the rotation_corr() method and pass in coordinate points to the birds-eye view project the image back to being flat again. See the rotation_corr() examples for how to do this.
