loading CAM7 with script file

Hi,
I forgot how to load a script file into the CAM7.
Here is what I do:
connect
tools
save open script
YES

ERROR: cannot write file K:\main.py. disk full?!

Thanks
Jim Sullivan

Hi, is the disk full?

No. Not according to “removable disk K” listed in Windows explorer.

I do not understand where the “DISK K” memory is. Is it on the Microprocessor or on the MicroSD?

Um, if there’s no SD card then it’s stored on the MCU flash. If an SD card is inserted then it’s on the SD card.

Hi,

I still get the ERROR. The “K disk” has 4 files all put on in 2014, and one file main.py180724 with 0KB dated 7/23/2020.

Jim

More INFO:
The four files dated 2014 have a total of 80 KB.

MORE INFO:
DISK K only has a 79K capacity. File “stream.bin” on drive K is 78KB.

I have the microSD card mounted in its connector on the PC board.

Why doesn’t drive K have more KB’s.

When I remove the microSD card and read the K drives capacity using windows explorer, it reads the same as when the microSD card is installed.

something is haywire!!!

Jim

Hi, the issue is you wrote a video file to the internal flash on the board. The camera doesn’t read the SD card. Please try another SD card and things should work.

Hi,

Can you explain your last message in more detail? Where is the Video file. How does replacing the sdcard help?

Jim

Me again,

Can I just clear the flash memory using TOOLS.

Jim

Hi, sorry about the delay. Our email blew up yesterday. Just getting back online now.

Yes. That will clear the internal flash. However, just try a different FAT formatted SD card too.

Hi,
Every thing is beautiful in its own way.
Thanks
Jim
