There is a mismatch between the downloadable STEP model from GrabCAD and the physical samples. The orientation of the FLIR Lepton socket is rotated 90° CCW from the model to the physical sample.
Since I do not see forum posts about the adapter boards being non-functional, my assumption is that the 3D model is wrong and the physical samples are correct. Is that right?
Another issue is the downloaded STEP when imported into SolidWorks does not have the two mounting holes. Where can I find a dimensioned mechanical drawing of the adapter board so I know the size and location of those mounting holes?
Here is a photo of one of the physical parts I received.
@stakata Thanks for catching this! I’ve informed our CAD guy and we’ll have this fixed soon and all files updated.
I’ll get the step files updated with the mounting holes too. It looks like for many of the step files those holes aren’t coming through for some reason.
Please use this for now for positioning the mounting holes:
This step file has the exact positioning of the center connector and mounts too:
STEP_[No Variations] for sensor.PcbDoc.zip (799.0 KB)
Thanks for the quick action on this. The new model imports with the matching socket orientation and mounting holes now.
