I am looking for a way to detect approaching feet

I am pretty new to this, so any help is appreciated. Goal is to detect approaching feet, should i go with tensorflow and an edge impulse training approach or is there a better quicker way of implementing such functionality?

What’s the view of the camera? What’s in the background? Lighting conditions?

The FLIR Lepton or GENX320 can solve these issues pretty easily with blob tracking and no ML.
