# Crash After Splash Screen (OMV2.6.8 Win10v1809 DellPrec7520)

Hello,
I have an issue where after an uninstall and clean reinstall of openmv-ide-windows-2.6.8 the application crashes silently after closing the splash screen.
If I launch it from terminal there is no output before the prompt is returned.
The last thing I remember doing before the app would no longer launch was editting a dataset with the bimp plugin for gimp (mass cropping), perhaps both apps used the same files at the same time? Not sure. In any case, after several restarts and several redownloads/unistalls/reinstalls of openmv the behaviour is the same. Crash after splash.
Any help on how I can reinstall and get back to playing with OpenMV would be much appreciated. Thanks so much,

It typically doesn’t break. Not sure what happened.
