Re: IDE Request: Pixel x,y and value when mouse over image

Hi kwagyeman,

Thanks for the quick response as always!
The current method is workable and better in some cases.
I hadn't noticed the ROI data at the top of the screen.

Regards,

Greg

Re: What is the best way to check memory usage?

That is interesting and certainly good to know about the 4x. The part I didn't explain very well is that adding or removing that block of code can light switch the problem. Based on your experiment we are talking about roughly 2k. print('Used: ' + str(gc.mem_alloc()) + ' Free: ' + str(gc.mem_free())...

Re: What is the best way to check memory usage?

Hi Kwagyeman, I can't post all of it as it's for a client. I'm using the OpenMV as rapid proto tool... I have the project working in pieces and didn't hit the problem till I tried to combine the parts. The interesting thing is that I'm using some dotstar LEDs from adafruit for the illumination. I wa...

What is the best way to check memory usage?

I have a project that has about 500 lines of code and one class in an external .py file. I am getting memory errors when I try to start the project. print('Used: ' + str(gc.mem_alloc()) + ' Free: ' + str(gc.mem_free())) Claims that I have about 23K free yet the errors I get complain about memory all...

IDE Request: Pixel x,y and value when mouse over image

A really nice add to the IDE would be to show the x, y, and pixel value as the mouse is moved over the image. Having this would eliminate 2/3rds of the times I have to save an image to PC and look at in ImageJ.

Re: Fixed sensor settings

Hi kwagyeman, Thanks for the quick response. What is the mechanism at play here? Is it just not possible to get to the necessary registers? The effect I'm seeing isn't drift or anything like that. I can repeat it with no problems. It seems like some kind of auto setup that doesn't get overwritten by...

Fixed sensor settings

My application involves inspecting a mostly white object that is placed in a black jig for inspection. There may or may not be an object in the jig at power up. I am currently setting the exposure, gain, and white balance but I still see variance. My test is to check the average brightness of a smal...

Re: uart.write doesn't write the entire buffer

That did the trick! Thanks!!!!
I miss-understood the docs.
That sounded like a receive timeout.

uart.write doesn't write the entire buffer

I'm trying to write a buffer of about 60 bytes out of uart3. It only writes between 15 and 22 bytes. For my testing the data in the buffer doesn't change. It's not shown here but I've used print to confirm the buffer is filled with the correct data. Any idea of what might cause this? uart = pyb.UART...
