DVDD: Power supply (+1.8v) for digital core to ground ?

Postby chrisPyres66 » Mon Sep 03, 2018 4:01 am

Dear All,

I am looking the schematic of the M7 openmv camera at
https://github.com/openmv/openmv-boards ... penmv3.pdf

and i am surprised than the DVDD pin of OV7725 is connected to ground through a capacitor in place of +1.8V.
In OV7725 datasheet, i read any explanation about it.

Is not it mandatory to supply the digita core te get working the sensor ?
Is it for consumption purpose ?

If you can clarify my point of view, i would be thankfull,

In OV7725 datasheet, i read the answer :

Thanks to the Bit[3]: Internal regulator ON/OFF selection of AREF1 register, the 1.8v is internally provided.

We turn the internal regulator on the camera on.
