Memory allocation failed

I noticed that my code won't run if I include in the code long lists with numeric entries. I get the following error when press run:

MemoryError: memory allocation failed, allocating 3652 bytes.

Could I save the list as a text file on the board and read the file when I run my code instead?

Running multiple scripts in sequence

How can I run multiple scripts inside another script? I tried a few approaches for Python such as import filename but haven't found a method yet.

PWM

We connected the motor for a drill to pin 6. I can turn the motor on or off by setting the pin high or low, but now we'd like to use PWM to control it. When I use the following example code, nothing happens: from pyb import Pin, Timer p = Pin('P6') tim = Timer(2, freq=10) ch = tim.channel(1, Timer.P...

Re: OpenCV Library

Do you have plans to implement contrast and brightness correction functions (α, β, G) in openMV?

Saving a txt file

I tried writing data to a text file and saving it on my flash memory, but it seems that it is not updating immediately. I can find the file if I unplug the usb cable. Is there a better way to update the contents?

Re: Stepper Motor Driver

Actually we figured out that our USB connection was becoming loose as the stepper motor was moving and vibrating. We secured it and now the connection is stable.

Stepper Motor Driver

We have a stepper motor system that we want to control using OpenMV. The following is the link to our stepper motor driver: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/HOT-3A-Stepper-Motor-Driver-Board-Single-axis-controller-10-files-current-with-cable-Toshiba-TB6560AHQ/606050794.html We connected this to one s...

OpenCV Circle Detection

I am interested in implementing the OpenCV's circle finding algorithm, i.e: cv2.HoughCircles(img,cv2.HOUGH_GRADIENT,dp,minDist,param1=,param2=,minRadius=,maxRadius=) to do circle detection. In my application, there are multiple circle sizes, so it is important to set the minimum and maximum radii in...

Cannot connect to PC

I tried to connect our new OpenMV board to the PC (Windows 7 and 10) and got the message that the camera cannot be found. I tried on IDE version 1.8.1 and 1.9.0 and cannot connect on either. The blue LED continues to flash. Do you know what the problem could be?

OpenCV Library

Is it possible to import the cv2 Python extension from OpenCV so that we can access the library in OpenMV? For instance, we would like to implement the cv2.HoughCircles function to do circle detection.

Or is it possible to convert the OpenCV source code from C++ to Python?

Thank you

There are 8 PWM in your servo shield. Can I use 6 of the PWMs for 3 stepper motor?

Re: Built-in servo and servo shield

Thanks. How do we program the servo shield connected through I2C?
https://openmv.io/collections/shields/p ... rvo-shield

s1 = Servo(1) # servo on position 1 (P7)
s1.angle(45) # move to 45 degrees
s1.angle(-60, 1500) # move to -60 degrees in 1500ms
s1.speed(50) # for continuous rotation servos

Re: Built-in servo and servo shield

Sure I will connect an external 5V supply. Apart from using Serv1, serv2, serv3 pins (Pins 7,-9) on board, is there anyway I can connect three more servos on pins 1-6 and use servo commands?
s1 = Servo(?); s1.angle(45)

Built-in servo and servo shield

What is the different between the three servos in the OpenMV and servo shield? If I have only three servos to connect, can I use the built-in servos? Is it possible to use GPIOs to connect to servos? My servos use current: 100mA; voltage: 5-7.2V

Thanks for the response. I understand realtime requirement for MV.

Can we connect a second high resolution camera in the board through SPI and use it for only still images to μSD Card?

I want to connect a 10MP camera through SPI in the OpenMV booard? Can I perform machine vision and Wifi?

Also do you have plans to make a board with higher mega pixel camera?
