Re: OpenMV IDE 1.9.0 "stopping" issue

I tried it but still got a fatal error. Here are the steps:

1. Ran bootloader
2. Created new file
3. Ran script
4. Stopped script
5. Ran script
6. Stopped script
7. Reset camera
8. Un- then Re-plugged USB
9. Connected
10. Ran script
11. Stopped script
Fatal error

Re: OpenMV IDE 1.9.0 "stopping" issue

I was playing around with a script that was just using the LEDs and the fatal error never happened. But only after 3 starts and stops with the default "new file" script it happened.

Re: OpenMV IDE 1.9.0 "stopping" issue

Another question: was there a change that made all the LEDs flash when hitting stop (even when successful)? I never noticed this before.

Re: OpenMV IDE 1.9.0 "stopping" issue

I don't get this every time. Actually, today was going pretty well but the IDE wasn't recognizing the camera and I created a new file and ran it when all the LEDs came on again. So, I don't think it is related to find_blobs in my case. In fact, I saved the default "new" file and was able to get it t...

OpenMV IDE 1.9.0 "stopping" issue

I downloaded the new IDE, version 1.9.0, and sometimes when I click on the stop button (the red X), instead of stopping, the camera LEDs all turn on (white) and the IDE doesn't respond. Eventually the OS reports that the device was removed. I'm on macOS High Sierra. Anyone else having any problems?

Polarizing filter

I would love to get my hands on a polarizing filter but I only need 1, not 10. I know you need thousands for a discount, but the 50mm x 50mm are only $19. Is it more $ to get it cut to the right size? Or won't they even cut it down unless there's a big order? I'm tempted to buy one and cut it down m...

Re: strange behavior with set_windowing

Does this mean the windowing should be in multiples of 8px?
You say you could fix this but I wasn't sure if your comment about more transfer requests means we shouldn't.

Is this the windowing ticket you want me to update? https://github.com/openmv/openmv/issues/272

Re: strange behavior with set_windowing

Even with setting the windowing only once on startup gives me that weird output. import sensor sensor.reset() sensor.set_pixformat(sensor.RGB565) sensor.set_framesize(sensor.QQVGA) sensor.set_windowing((10, 0, 20, 120)) sensor.skip_frames(time = 2000) while(True): sensor.snapshot() When I try to cal...

Re: Saving To File

What OS do you have? I am on a Mac with macOS High Sierra. This is what I did. I wrote a program that prints the output: import pyb while(True): print("Hello, World") pyb.delay(500) I saved that to the camera then reset the camera. I then found out the serial device name. You can do that through Ope...

Re: Program stops after writing 1025 images

This is what I'm using to create timestamp based filenames: rtc = RTC() def create_time_based_filename(): datetime = rtc.datetime() print(datetime) return "{0}{1:02d}{2:02d}{3:02d}{4:02d}{5:02d}".format(datetime[0], datetime[1], datetime[2], \ datetime[4], datetime[5], datetime[6]) You would have to...

Re: strange behavior with set_windowing

For the file saving issue, yes, it is a bitmap.

Code: Select all

> file snapshot-966393929.jpg.bmp
snapshot-966393929.jpg.bmp: PC bitmap, Windows 3.x format, 320 x -240 x 16

strange behavior with set_windowing

I don't know if it is my camera only, but I am getting strange behavior ("behaviour" for you non-Americans :P ) in a couple of cases. The first case is if I use an odd number for the width in the ROI of the set_windowing method, there is some strange distortion. odd_width.jpg Secondly, with some eve...

Unsupported/unimplemented functions?

I came across this error when trying to use the math.sinh() function:

Code: Select all

AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'sinh'
Are there some functions not implemented yet?

Re: Importing a custom class

I'm having troubles using the import feature. I can import but ONLY if I specify exactly what I need. For example, if I create a constants.py file with a variable, I can only access it if I import that variable. constants.py: AREA_THRESHOLD = 20 Then, from another file, I try this, but it doesn't wo...

Re: Camera disconnects from IDE when running script (sometimes)

Files? Plural? Wireshark just saved it as one file. I'll upload that. If there is something else, let me know.

I'm using macOS High Sierra 10.13.3.

Re: Camera disconnects from IDE when running script (sometimes)

I am also having the issue. I'm using the 1.8.1 IDE and 2.7.0 firmware. Earlier in the thread it was said that your fix would look for firmware version 9.9.9. Is this still the case? I also downloaded and ran Wireshark. I tried to upload the output but the forum doesn't allow the .pcapng extension. ...

Re: TypeError : object 'line' is not a tuple or list

You need to call .line() on "l".

Code: Select all

img.draw_line(l.line(), color=(127)) # Draw lines
find_lines returns a "Line" object http://docs.openmv.io/library/omv.image ... ine-object
but draw_line needs a tuple.

Re: Eye detection + drawing

I took that script and modified it to 1) light up the red LED, 2) use a circle for the face (to differentiate it from the eyes) and 3) quit: # Face Eye Detection Example # # This script uses the built-in frontalface detector to find a face and then # the eyes within the face. If you want to determin...

Re: Eye detection + drawing

It isn't the detection of the eyes that is the issue. Although it isn't great, it works. The issue is with drawing.

Eye detection + drawing

I'm trying to use the face_eye_detection.py script but for some reason drawing within the second for loop doesn't work. I've tried commenting out the img.draw_rectangle(face) thinking maybe it couldn't draw more than once on an image, but still no luck. Has anyone else had this issue? What am I doin...
