Re: Best way to measure serial communication Latency | way to collect latencies in the program

Thank you.

I have this concern, is it normal that the UART transaction becomes faster than the I2C transaction?

if yes, How come?

Best way to measure serial communication Latency | way to collect latencies in the program

Hi, Please what would be the best way to measure the latency that any process could consume during the execution of program? For example, what I am currently doing is adding timestamps before and after the procedure that I want to verify. Then the timestamps differences are the latency that I should...

Re: Reducing the number of GRAYSCALE levels (8 bits to 3 bits)

Please , How do you get the numbers for the gamma correction? What is the maximum value of the contrast and the brightness? Also I tried to print the pixels values collected using the operation below: img = sensor.snapshot().gamma_corr(gamma = 0.03125, contrast = 1.0, brightness = 0.0) I keep having...

Re: Reducing the number of GRAYSCALE levels (8 bits to 3 bits)

Hi,

Thank you.

I got confused when trying to update the firmware.

Do I have to load a .dfu file from Tools > run bootloader?

OpenMV Master and OpenView receiver | Arduino Master - openMV receiver

Hi, Is it possible for an openMV (master) to communicate with an other OpenMV(slave) through I2C, UART or SPI ? And Can the master send data to the slave and the vice versa? I also tried to send data from an arduino Master to the I2C slave using the code below in the openMV. The transaction send() s...

OpenMV (Master) - Arduino Mega 2560 (slave) - SPI

Hi, I would like to send chars from the arduino Mega(slave) to the openMV(Master) using the SPI connection. I am trying to use the SPI.recv function in the openMV as shown in the code below import sensor, image, time, pyb from pyb import SPI spi = SPI(2, SPI.MASTER, baudrate=115200, polarity=1, phase...

Reducing the number of GRAYSCALE levels (8 bits to 3 bits)

Hi,

I am trying to reduce the grayscale level on the openMV frame. Instead of having a range of grayscale going from 0 to 255, I want a level of grayscale going from 0 to 7.

Is it possible?
If yes, How can i do it ?

Change resolution of ROI

Hi,

Is it possible to change the resolution of ROI when the sensor already set the resolution of the Camera.

I mean if I have a resolution of QQQQVGA from the sensor.set_framesize(sensor.QQQQVGA), can i set a ROI to QVGA?

Thank you!

Multi threading

Hi, Is it possible to run simultaneously many functions in the openMV ? I mean if I have a function start() and a function got() ; and I want them to run at the same time , Would it be possible ? Also, when it comes to execute the whole code, does the OpenMV execute the code line by line; or it chan...

ROI processing

Hi,

Is it possible to apply some operations in the ROI after you have the image from img = sensor.snapshot()?

I mean : I draw a rectangle inside my img , and i only want to apply filters for everything inside the rectangle (ROI).

Thank you!

Is it possible to connect a Bluetooth system to the openMV camera ? And then send data from the arduino using this system ?

OpenMV as Slave + Data received from Arduino

Hi, Is it possible to send data from an arduino(master) to openMV(slave)? I saw , if I am not wrong, that you have to send a sync char for sending data from the openMV to the Arduino. The openMV camera is the second device of the established SPI connection which has the arduino as master. Would it b...
