Re: serial data save in MySQL database and video stream display at host pc

Ok I tried this but I couldn't get it to work. Here's how I set it up. I saved the helloworld.py script to the camera then disconnected the IDE (even closed the IDE). On my pc you can see the COM6 port. So I opened up an Arduino IDE and was able to attach at the same baud 115200 but couldn't see the...

Re: openmv webserver

Sure I am happy to keep working on this if there is light at the end of the tunnel. Here's what I am thinking about this product. Its has some really nice features but you are not providing sufficient documentation at least for me to get started. Like this USB library you send the library rather the...

Re: send frames to PC

Not to say that I am a master of python, but I do spend most of my day python coding in linux, macs and windows systems and have been doing that for many years. But you are right I am scratching my head on the documentation at the moment sorry but I want to understand how to make this camera useful....

Re: how to set up UVC support

Thanks for support but I tried uploading uvc.bin using bootloader and I can see the /dev/video0 now on my raspi3 but also when running guvcview now it doesn't complain that not camera is attached but it still doensn't run too. The program now just stops running at some point while never getting to t...

Re: openmv webserver

I haven't tried it yet. I am still stuck on how to even send a command to the camera to save an image or a series of images on the SD card. So you have all of these cool examples of various image processing tools (like QR code recognition) can't you save the file and say ... append an text file of t...

Re: openmv webserver

Well I am stuck kind of ... so you do not think you can make a simple webserver that just posts the files that you can save. If we can get this far ... then maybe we can figure out a way to call some functions using UART, analog trigger on some pins whatever is best. As long as you can serve the sav...

Re: wifi shield transfer

I have been playing with this. The pygame tool is better in that you can save frames but its not straightforward with the mjpeg_streamer.py tool you can only see the stream. If you run openmv like a standard UVC webcam then you can use mjpg-streamer https://sourceforge.net/projects/mjpg-streamer/ wh...

how to set up UVC support

I came across this cool video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmG7OJk7Efg This would be great since then maybe I can try using mjpg_streamer to both monitor streams and to download frames if connected to my linux computer. Does anyone know where reference material I can follow on how to set this up?

Re: openmv webserver

Another thought would be to set up an arduino or something similar to send a serial command UART that gets the camera to take a photo. So then you access the saved files on the camera's microSD card using WIFI assuming its possible to access files stored on microSD card using webserver

Re: send frames to PC

I ran into the same error that was previously mentioned by Ronnye. I tried renaming the serial port from /dev/openmvcam to /dev/ttyACM0 but I still ended up not establishing a connection. I had to hard code the port variable to get it to work. But I am confused about what this script pyopenmv.py act...

Re: openmv webserver

Thanks for the info its good to know. So before I get too deep in figuring out how to code this. Let me more clear what I want to do after studying the topic all day and tinkering with some of the examples. If its possible to implement a webserver to access the files stored on the camera's SD card, ...

openmv webserver

Hi I am making a Raspberry Pi robot that wants to access data (images and image processed data) from OpenMV cameras. This computer is already connected to a few devices using USB so I want to used the WIFI interface. The MJPEG streamer is cool but I do not need a stream (besides its tricky to save a...
