Firmware Files, what each files do?

Hello, I cannot differentiate between these files: bootloader.bin -> Pure binary of the bootloader (no firmware) - intermediate output. bootloader.elf -> Raw ELF file output from compile - intermediate output. bootloader.dfu -> DFU file of the bootloader - not useful. firmware.bin -> Pure binary of ...

Re: openMV Firmware Build Instructions

Hi, if you are trying to build the firmware it is expected you know what you are doing. In Step 8 Under make arguments add TARGET=OPENMV3 to build for the OpenMV Cam M7 (or TARGET=OPENMV2 to build for the OpenMV Cam M4). If you don't add this the firmware is built for the OpenMV Cam M4 by default. ...

Re: Want to use openMV in STM32F429DISC

thanks! Finally, I dont remove any. I connect pins fllow the openmv sdr and try to use SCCB to read OV7670 ID via MDK project , but it does not work. Today I try to fllow openmv2 pins . It is suprise that I can read the device ID . And now I can see a color bar in OPENMV IDE , just with 2.5 FPS , b...

Re: openMV Firmware Build Instructions

Those are all a matter of personal preference, for example I use the command line (vim, make etc.. old school :/) Kwabena uses Eclipse I think. You can use whatever tool/framework/IDE/board you like, you can even build the code on PC, however you do need to know what you're doing as I doubt you'll ...

Re: Change of MCU

The only difference between the 427 and the 429 is the LCD controller, which we don't need. At some point I made a camera with an STM32F429 and SDRAM, which was never produced I just kept it for reference. The eagle files naming is confusing, I'll rename them later to OpenMV1 (407 we made a few pro...

Re: openMV Firmware Build Instructions

Hello completely noob here. I dont have any idea what "recursive" means etc. etc. I also havent tried compiling as per the procedure in the wiki yet, will try it later. My dumb questions are (if it is not top secret to answer): 1. How do you go on developing the openmv firmware? What IDE are you usi...

Re: OpenMV H7 on NUCLEO-H743ZI board

We don't support the Nucleo. If you want to try to port our code to one you can. Its more work than it's worth however. That said you can port the algorithms rather easy. Hello I am a backer and ordered total 3pcs of H7. But I see Mar'19 delivery time is quite very long. So I plan also to buy NUCLE...

Re: OpenMV H7 on NUCLEO-H743ZI board

I upload successfully openmv4 firmware on Nucleo-H743ZI using STM32 ST-LINK utility, but PC ( OpenMV IDE) not see OPENMV - usb communication not work. I think it's because I do not have a camera sensor attached to Nucleo. You may try this https://sea.banggood.com/OV7725-Camera-Module-640x480-Displa...

Micropython on M7 and H7

Micropython on M7 and H7.

https://github.com/micropython/micropyt ... ds-Summary
There is no board for STM32F765.

Also in the future release of H7.
Will it be added in Micropython rep.?

Hopefully the community can benefit from it.

Re: OpenMV H7 on NUCLEO-H743ZI board

Hi, I have an NUCLEO-H743ZI with STM32H743 144 pins controller development board ( https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-h743zi.html ). I'm trying to install openmv4 firmware on it but without success. Will somebody help me? @zoxno6 Hello how are you uploading the firmware to this board? @k...

Re: OpenMV H7

ANy reason why OV9650 was not used in H7?
I think the resolution is higher.
Would it be better?
Can we still use OV9650 on H7?

Re: OpenMV H7

I am planning to order one more camera when the backetkit is sent out.
To save on expenses, I would hold on buying LCD and plan to use ILI9341 instead.
Will you be supporting that display?

Oh, yeah that camera. Um, we haven't touched that in 3 years. No clue where the source is for that. Ibrahim might know.
He said just for only for reference.
Thanks for the reply..

Do you the firmware ? No we never actually released any camera with SDR so we don't support it, the design files are there for reference.
Ohh. I thought you did initial testing for V2 on this board....

Re: STM32F429I-DISCO firmware uploading

Hi, we really can't help with this. I honestly don't know. The board isn't made by us nor is it supported by us. If you want to target MicroPython to it you'll really going to have to fight compiler issues and work through them. You can open a thread on the micropython forums and ask for help. Howe...

We use DFU mode. See the link above to the development environment. Hello, I am quite new to this. I bought H7 in KS and I am planning on testing micropython. I have this STM32F429I-Disco (using the older version of ST-linkV2 not ST-linkV2-1). Few thing I would like to do this board: 1. Test openMV...

Note that you can buy a crosslink fpga and build a parallel to MiPi bus converter for less than $10.
Is this the camera module connector?
Do you have adapter connector to expose the pins?

Re: Is it possible to use multiple cameras in tandem?

Yes, but, you need to develop a serial protocol to talk between the two cameras. Each camera will have it's own processor. As for frame sync. Just connect the FSIN of one camera to a pin set to output VSYNC to another. What if we use servo to rotate single camera instead of using two (cameras)? Of ...

Just attach an ESP-32 or Partile Photon for wifi support via serial.
Can it still stream via ESP32?
